Nissan has confirmed the performance statistics for Juke-R – the supercar crossover concept that combines the power and handling of the legendary GT-R with the bold design of Juke.

Created in the UK, Juke-R has been developed by Nissan and built by leading motorsports outfit RML with advice from Nissan Technical Centre Europe (NTC-E). Over a 22-week period two models have been created – one right-hand drive and one left-hand drive – with extensive performance testing now completing the final stage of the development project.

Juke-R's 485bhp 3.8l V6 twin turbo engine propels the car from a standing start to 100km/h in just 3.7 seconds, before continuing on to a top speed of 257km/h.

Sometimes it's more satisfying to bring a project to a slow boil for a chance to savour its full flavour, rather than to slap everything together quickly, particularly if this might result in compromise to the ultimate quality of the end-result.

Since our last update, most of the parts have arrived and in the meantime, 'Godzilla' has been further stripped, whipped, poked, prodded, used and abused all ways to Sunday. The mechanicals are at Espace while the shell has been primed and prepped for paint at TG2K Spray Painting Centre.

Nissan GT-R 'Egoist' Details

The “World of GT-R” expands again this year with the addition of a racing circuit use-only “Club Track” edition and an ultra-exclusive “EGOIST” version that can be custom-ordered according to the precise desires of each individual customer.

The complete 11MY Nissan GT-R model lineup now includes six versions – the “Pure edition,” “Black edition,” “Premium edition,” “SpecV,” “Club Track” and “EGOIST” – allowing customers to choose the exact level of dynamic performance and style to meet their various needs.

The 11MY Nissan GT-R will also be released in North America, Europe and other regions after February 2011. Nissan is considering introducing EGOIST in Europe and the Middle East, and the Club Track edition in Europe as well.

Nissan GT-R (Model Year 2011) Details

Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced the launch of the 11MY Nissan GT-R (with a total of 6 versions, including the exclusive Egoist and Club Track variants), which goes on sale November 17th at Nissan dealers nationwide in Japan.

For 11MY, GT-R features improved engine output and torque, greater fuel efficiency, revised handling, a refreshed exterior with improved aerodynamics, revised interior treatment and new wheels and tires.

Nissan North America, Inc. today announced that it will continue its year-long celebration of the 40th anniversary of the icon Nissan Z® with a display of historic Z® racers at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, August 12 – 15 at Laguna Seca Raceway, Monterey, Calif.

Four of the six Z®s appearing at the event, formerly known as the Monterey Historic Automobile Races, have significant racing histories – including SCCA National Championships, IMSA Manufacturers’ and Drivers’ Championship and victories at LeMans, Daytona and Sebring.

We went to check on the progress of the R32 this morning and found it hoisted up with its guts ripped out.

The view from behind gave us an unobstructed insight into the insides of Godzilla... and there are now gaps where the drive-train and the engine used to be.
